The Story Behind Hurley House

Hi, I am Jennifer Hurley. I am a mother, a qualified Allied Health Assistant and a passionate advocate for literacy learning for young people, particularly kids living in rural and regional areas.

I have created Hurley House to develop a hub of Allied Health and support services, a place the community can receive support if needed.

Since arriving in Goondiwindi in 2009, I have experienced first hand the stress and strain associated with trying to find targeted support and services.

Whether it is the hours and hours of driving to Toowoomba, Brisbane or beyond or the cost of being away from home - it can be gruelling for everyone concerned

Hurley House aims to be part of the solution by seeking to attract services to our community and offering service providers a flexible/attractive location from which to operate.

The ultimate goal would be to see Hurley House delivering a range of services under one roof that makes a positive difference in the lives of those seeking this services.

  • Educational support programs & Tutoring

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Speech Pathology

  • Physiotherapy

  • Podiatry

  • Naturopath

  • Massage

Some of these services have been an enormous help to me and my family over the years and I would love to see many more families benefit from greater access to these services in our region.

My qualifications include:

  • Certified Allied Health Assistant (specialized OT)

  • Certified Move to Learn Practitioner

  • Certified Level 1 Bilateral Integration Practitioner
